CORE VALUES
BNI is built on a set of guiding principles which form the foundation on which Members interact, conduct themselves and fulfill their goals. At BNI, we’re Changing the Way the World Does Business®.
Givers Gain®
Be willing to give first, before you expect to gain. Giving unconditionally creates a better world for everyone and creates important opportunities and lasting relationships.
Traditions + Innovation
We honour our traditions and look to a brighter future fuelled by innovation, optimism, and excitement.
Building Relationships
Building strong relationships creates an environment of trust and support that yields happiness, opportunity and meaning.
Lifelong Learning
Your value grows as you develop your knowledge and skills. Create a curriculum based on the person you want to become and follow that curriculum to get yourself there.
Accountability
We keep the promises we make, especially when it is hard to do so. This creates trust and supports strong relationships.
Positive Attitude
We find the good in everything that happens to us, and that propels our lives forward. Finding the good in every person enables us to attract terrific people, opportunities, and wealth.
Recognition
We appreciate that recognition fuels the growth of successful organizations. The person who masters the art of recognition attracts success, meaning, and happiness.
BNI’s Core Values Start with Givers Gain®
The altruism and goodwill we feel towards one another, and to the world, start with a genuine love of people – all people, equally. We encourage and embrace diversity in every respect.
Our Statement on Equality and Non-discrimination
BNI requires that BNI Chapters review and select persons for membership in all job classifications based on qualifications without regard to race, color, gender, religion, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, age or disability. BNI will support no BNI Chapter’s action when in violation of this equality and non-discrimination statement.
Member Safety and Wellbeing
The safety and wellbeing of our Members is our top priority. On March 16th, 2020 out of an abundance of caution during the Covid pandemic, BNI transitioned all of its in-person meetings to BNI online®. The innovative online platform has exceeded our expectations and has proven to be highly effective in allowing Members to keep their network and business strong.
Since the Covid restrictions were removed in 2022 we have returned to having an in person meeting on the first Thursday of every month and then continue to use our online meetings on Zoom for the other 3 Thursdays of the month.
Where we meet
We now meet in person on the morning of the first and third Thursday of every month at the fantastic meeting room facilities at the Centerpoint Training Academy in Farranfore. Meetings start at 6.30am with open networking for visitors and members, followed by the meeting proper starting at 7am and running to around 8am.
The other meetings in the month are conducted online on Zoom, each Thursday morning with the same process as in person meetings.
The meetings all follow the same agenda with an introduction from our Chapter President, followed by an education slot from our Education Coordinator, followed by 1 minute presentations from each member and their visitors. This is then followed up by a 10 minute feature presentation from one of the members of the group and then followed by a positive contribution section where members advise on business done, referrals passed, 1-2-1 meetings had and any online training/education completed in the week.
